Skulls and Mint. Rags and Stars

Whoops- looks like Thursday came and went and I totally forgot about my own Thursday Target Threads!  Sorry! Back to it next week!

Do I look like I'm staring at this cord in anger?  Well, perhaps I am!  It's hard to live amongst home remodels!  Cords, dust, things askew.............Hopefully the end will come soon!

In other news I bought these for $14 (down from $69) and wonder if I can pull them off???

I've been contemplating some things for the blog in 2013, I just don't know if I have it in my to carry it out!  I've been thinking of challenging myself to not buy any clothes for the entire year. Seriously, I can't think of a single thing I NEED (except plain black pumps, maybe I can buy those before the 1st! haha)  It just seems so hard to not buy a THING, but I wonder if it would really change my focus. I can be too "this world oriented" and I really want to put my focus on the spiritual. I will think on it for  a few days.................

  1. Ive been considering the wedge sneaks - haha! Yours are cute! I think you could totally do a shopping ban challenge - you can put away a good portion of your regular clothing budget every month into a piggy bank, and then use it on a big fashion splurge at the end of the year...something you'd never buy otherwise, like a designer bag or three. ;). That way, there's motivation...and gifted items never count in a ban. :)

  2. I am planning to keep myself to a $20 a week budget. Like you I don't need anything and a small amount will keep things fun while still restricting my spending. :)

  3. So cute! Whoa! Not a thing for a year?! I bet you could do it, but I have to say that I'd miss your texts asking my advise. Plus if I come in march I can't buy stuff alone haha. But really, do what you have to do to put your heart on what's most important :)

    1. Oh we would have to make an exception for March shopping spree!

    2. Haha I think there will be lots of times that will need exceptions!

  4. I love the idea of wedge sneaks but I'm not sure I am cool enough to pull the look off, hehe. I think with some skinny jeans and a cool top like that skull one, it could work for you!

    Have a great New Year's!

  5. I know you can do the ban if you want to, however I think not a thing for a year is extreme. Perhaps you should allow yourself one or two items a month so that when you realize you need something or simply want something(within a set budget)you'll have the freedom to get it without feeling like you let yourself down. A little balance is good. But I do agree with Lauren. You must do what you feel you have to, in order to put spiritual matters first.

  7. I love your skulls shirt. I loved that blue skull scarf that you wore last year, but I never found it at my Target. You and your daughter are so adorable!
