Finding knock-off versions of name brand clothing is my biggest hobby. I just can't pay $150 for one shirt. Sometimes I wish I could just walk into a store and pay the price if I instantly loved something. But, not gonna happen. So I make it my "game" to find what I love for less.
On promo for $15 (regular $24.99)
And here is my styling of the shirt!
Shirt: Old Navy
Pants: H&M
Shoes: Target.com (sparkly oxfords like Jcrew)
I like wearing oxford shirts. It reminds me of my mom who I think is very beautiful. She worked during part of my life, but part of it she was a SAHM. Even then, she got dressed nicely each day to go about her duties in the home. She was always concerned with nutrition and exercise and read voraciously! (Guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!)
Now I ask you to share your opinion. Is the white bubble necklace too much for this shirt? All that color and print going on may be better left alone? I always have a hard time with this and always hear Coco Chanel in my head with her less is more advice "always take one thing off before you leave the house".

What a great dupe!!! I guess I can hand out $150 for something I love BUT I always prefer to wait for sale. There should never be anything I "have" to have. Says the shopaholic. ;) I like layers, so I like the necklace, but maybe with more subtle shoes?
ReplyDeleteYour mom sounds like a really neat lady, just like you. I like the bubble necklace with the shirt even though I've lived by that Coco Chanel quote for many years. In my months of blogging, I've found that an extra accessory always looks great in a picture. Even if I take it off in "real life".
ReplyDeleteHi Peggy! I'm catching up on my blog reading before we head to a super bowl party. Wow that knock off is nearly identical to the original. It is very sharp looking. I love the bubble necklace, I think because it is white it goes very well.
ReplyDeleteI love this blouse....and I think it is awesome all on its own, don't know that it needs the necklace!
ReplyDeleteI bought this blouse last week but thanks to your post got a PA today...yay! What a deal!
