One of our dearest friends lost her husband this past week. He had the flu for a few days, laid down to take a nap and never woke up. It was a total shock. His family and our church family are grieving. Today is the memorial service and I am making food preparations.
All of this just reminds me of the brevity and uncertainty of life. You never know, no matter what your age or health, when you will pass from this life. We always need to be prepared to meet our God. Live the faith of the Bible and you will have nothing to fear, only the hope of eternal life in Heaven and joy everlasting.
Our friend will be so missed as a husband, father and friend. We will try our hardest to help, encourage and strengthen his family that is left behind.
