OOTD- Turning a Summer Dress into a Fall Dress

It's nice to get more mileage out of certain summer dresses. I don't think it can be done with all summer dresses, due to color or the cut of the dress, but this one lends itself to wearing something under it!

Here is the photo of me wearing it this summer - simple, clean lines.

Now for fall, layering! I added a turtleneck from Kohl's, a deep eggplant colored scarf from Kohl's, tights from Banana Republic in a gray hue, and my Union Bay boots! Voila, ready for the crisp air out there today.
Dress: Loft
Tneck: Apt9 Kohls
Scarf: Kohls
Tights: Banana Republic
Boots: Union Bay via Kohls

  2. I am new to dress layering (putting stuff UNDER dresses) so I think it'll be fun to try something similar - if it ever gets cold here!

BTW, love your fall look - I kind of actually like the dress better with the sleeves and boots!

  3. Cute!

I saw someone in tights for the first time today. Fall, it is ON!

  4. Oh I am jealous. I would be sweating bullets and struggling to breathe if I wore that outfit here. Mid 90's are killin' me!

  5. I love what you did with this for fall...oh, and I think your desk is very adorable...much more feminine than the one I share with my husband...can we say brown, brown, brown? =)
