Review of Rudi's Organic Bakery Gluten-Free Breads!

The kind folks at Rudi's Organic Bakery sent me some gluten-free bread to try out! I typically eat Udi's bread (which I LOVE), but my sister (who is also gluten intolerant) told me about Rudi's and how much she loved it, so I wanted to give it a try.

The Cinnamon Raisin bread is great for breakfast or a snack. I toast it and put peanut butter or Nutella on it and it really satisfies.
Here is a photo of the Multigrain bread. It's wonderful. I really missed having hearty bread for a sandwich with seeds and grains in it - this fits the bill! I used it to make a club sandwich and it was delicious! Just like old times!

It is wonderful to be able to once again eat the foods I used to love! I am a huge sandwich person and these breads make me happy!

I give Rudi's Gluten-Free two thumbs up! For taste, texture, size of loaf, and price point! Go to their website HERE to get a $1 off coupon and try some for yourself. You won't be disappointed!

Keeping Your Money May and Making Homemade

I'm up later than I want to be working on home-made foods for the family! This is what happens when you can't just spend money on the pre-made, nifty foods at the store! Here is my granola that I love so much - got the recipe from Robyn at Green Smoothie Girl in my 12 Steps to Whole Foods book. It's soooo delicious! I had been buying the Trader Joe's Gluten Free Granola like a mad dog, but at $3.49 for like a 10 oz. bag, it wasn't getting it for May. We eat this for cereal and for snacks or on top yogurt or Sambazon Acai Bowls!
I'm also working on steel-cut oats for my husband as he eats these every other morning. I was buying the Trader Joe's pre-made ones - 2 for $1.59, but this is much, much cheaper. I make up a big pot with several servings, then we can just reheat them as we need them. I've been buying THESE ONES so I can partake too, gluten-free!

I'm also cooking up some short grain rice- my favorite one is Lundberg - so I can have Bethenny's Brown Rice Breakfast some mornings. It's sooo good and gluten-free!

I didn't know how much I missed you!!

Oh happy happy joy joy! Today I found THE most wonderful Gluten-free bread at Whole Foods.

I almost cried when I ate a sandwich with it - seriously! I haven't had a sandwich in over a year since finding out I am gluten intolerant. Without gluten, I am a completely new person. It's insane. I wouldn't have believed it, had I not lived it. So today when I found this bread I thought-
"Well, let's try yet another loaf of $6 cardboard." Oh wow - it is anything but - it is light and fluffy and soft and tastes like bread! I ate my Whole Foods local, free-range organic chicken on it - so yum, yum, yum! After looking on their website, I now see all these other goodies that I wish I would have taken the time to search out today. I feel like a normal sandwich eater again - and that is HUGE for me b/c I always loved a good sandwich for lunch. Thank you Udi's!! I heart you!

P.S. I don't know if I will be able to sleep tonight thinking about the organic peanut butter and jam sandwich I am going to have for lunch tomorrow!!!!
