Fancy Pants!

These pants have a story, but then again, ALL of my clothes seem to have a story!  

I REALLY loved these Jcrew cords since I first saw them in the catalog.  The other day I popped in Jcrew because I heard they had 50% off the markdown (which they NEVER do!)  I saw these pants on the rack and ran to try them on (even though they were way smaller than my size - one can hope!)  No luck, but my personal shopping friend, Mitch, decided to look them up to see if he could find them in my size.  One pair in a city that was very far from me.  I had him put them on hold anyhow, and thought about how I would get them (charge send maybe?) Then I remembered my friend from work lived in that city and I would be seeing her at the company party in 2 days - score! I called and paid for them and she picked them up and brought them to me!

OOTD-Sea Nettle Blazer

I haven't been to Anthropologie in months! I mean months! I haven't followed their styles in over a year really. It's just too much to keep up with and I've been loving my CAbi. Well Friday night we went to the town where I shop Anthro for a yogurt and nice summer evening out. I ran into Anthro and remembered instantly why I love it so much - it's just so unique. Case in point, this blazer by Daughters of the Liberation. It is tailored so nicely and from a glance, just looks patterned- but when you look closer- it's got little sea animals all over it -fish, turtles, jellyfish (or sea nettles) - LOVE it! I got it on sale for $40 a steal at Anthro. I texted my friend Debra and she named the piece for me so I could look it up line. I plan to wear it to work tomorrow over a navy dress!

OOTD-Toss On Jacket & Picked Plaid!

Morning! I am really loving my CAbi Toss On Jacket! It seems to go with so many things! I bought this Picked Plaid skirt on sale at Anthro a year or two ago and it is still one of my favorites! These Dexter wedges are totally my favorite shoes! I have them in leopard too and they are my go to shoes- so comfortable!

OOTD-Toss On

This is one of my CAbi items- the Toss On Jacket! I love it! Great color (my camera stinks, it's really coral) and love the fit. I can see wearing it with a ton in my closet. I always think a cardigan or blazer really finishes an outfit.

OOTD-Preacher's Wife in Stripes

I've discovered stripes of the Land's End sort! We were in Sears suiting up the kids for summer camp in Land's End so I took a trip to the women's department. Land's End clothing is just so well made and quality. Fit is great. Gotta love it. I was able to score this cardi on markdown, then extra 30% off, then use my Sears Rewards Your Way of $10 - making the total to me $10 for a $50 retail price cardigan. It will last for years!

I am watching Land's End like a hawk for end of season markdowns. There are several skirts and dresses I would love to pick up - all in neutral colors and classic cuts that will stand the test of time.

I love the look of the silky, flowy blouse! That is why I so adored the Tucker for Target line. You can't go wrong with a top like this for simple, easy, put together look!

I was thrilled to find this Bayla Jane Piece de Resistance blouse on the rack at Anthro last week when I was spending my gift card. Retail $128, I paid $1.09 after the gift card (it was on sale for $19.99).

The Loft had 50% off many NEW summer items yesterday! They have some great basic tees and some beautiful summer dresses! They also had some great animal prints in groovy colors (think orange giraffe print!!) Check it out!

I love knit dresses because you can wad them in a ball and still wear them- no wrinkles! This one has really cute detailing like empire waist, ruffle on the skirt and tie sleeves! Here I "cardi-ed" it up for the work place!

Earth Day is coming up on April 22, 2010. Express your "green-ness" with some Eco-friendly jewelry by Zoe & Zac! I had been looking at these pieces at Payless a few weeks ago - they really caught my eye as they were so different and unique, eco friendly and fashionable. According to People Style Watch, tribal is in this spring, and these pieces scream tribal! I envision wearing them with a crisp white tee, jeans and sandals. I am almost embarrassed to say what I paid for these - they were $3 each with bogo 1/2 off - so $1.50 for some!

I love this one made from acai and tagua nuts! The green is beautiful!
